Operation Christmas Child Box Packing
The Operation Christmas Child Boxing partners with Samaritan’s Purse to send shoeboxes with gifts to children along with the message of the Gospel around the world at Christmas. On Saturday, November 23rd we will have a shoebox packing event at the church at 6:30 pm. Bring any items you want to place in your box and some to share. Please also bring a dessert or finger food as well.
Alternately you can drop off donated items during church office hours or pack your own boxes. Shoeboxes can be picked up any time. Packed shoeboxes (with a check for $10 per box to cover shipping costs.) will be collected under the Operation Christmas Child display table (red tablecloth) near the office door through November 24th.
Through out the next 4 weeks we will be accepting donations to fill boxes, each week focusing on specific items:
Week 1 (10/27): Socks, shirts, wash cloths.
Week 2 (11/3): Toothbrushes, hair items like hair ties and brushes, reusable plastic items for eating/washing, stuffed animals
Week 3 (11/10): Band-aids/first aid items, diapers 2-4 years and underwear 5 +
Week 4 (11/17): Arts and crafts items (non-liquid), tote bags/items to carry things.
